Klopp wanted Real Madrid swap, Liverpool chase Bundesliga talent, Roma look to Chelsea - Premier League rumours

Klopp wanted Vinicius

Liverpool made a bold demand when approached by Real Madrid concerning a deal for Sadio Mane, according to El Chiringuito, who state that the Spanish giants made a move for the Senegal international last summer.

The Reds were reluctant to approve the departure of the former Southampton man and wanted a player in return, with it claimed that Jurgen Klopp requested the services of Brazilian sensation Vinicius Junior.

Liverpool's Brandt value

Liverpool are battling Juventus for the services of Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt, CalcioMercato reports, as the Reds look to bolster their already impressive attacking line.

Valued at around €25m, the 22-year-old Germany international has courted the attention of a number of top clubs and a bidding war for his signature could be sparked when the summer window opens.

Camacho just wants to play

One player that may be on the way out of Anfield though is youngster Rafael Camacho, who O Jogo states could move across the Premier League to join Wolves in pursuit of first-team opportunities.

The 18-year-old is highly-rated on Merseyside but has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities in Klopp’s side and could move to join Wolves already strong Portuguese contingent.

Roma's Chelsea connection

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is being considered by Roma as their next manager, according to Corriere Dello Sport, and former Blues boss Antonio Conte is also on the Serie A side’s shortlist.

Sarri has struggled to win the support of Chelsea fans since his arrival from Napoli last summer and continues to be heavily linked with a departure, despite the fact his side are still chasing a top-four finish and Europa League glory.

Suarez to Serie A

Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez looks extremely unlikely to earn a permanent switch to north London from Barcelona and his agent made an admission when speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, stating such a deal didn’t look like happening.

Instead, Unai Emery’s former Sevilla prodigy could seal a move to Serie A side Napoli when the window reopens.

Umtiti on his way

One deal that Arsenal could get over the line for a Barcelona man though is one for Samuel Umiti, as TuttoMercatoWeb state the Gunners are in ‘pole position’ to beat Manchester United to the central defender.

The France World Cup winner could become surplus to requirements in Catalonia this summer if Ernesto Valverde’s side are successful in their pursuit to bring 19-year-old Ajax sensation Matthijs de Ligt to the club.

Guardiola keen on Benfica teen

Finally, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to sign Benfica youngster Florentino and sent representatives to Portugal to watch the player twice this season, according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo.

City are said to have tracked the 19-year-old for a while and most recently scouted the teenager at the weekend.
