Kliff Kingsbury, Steve Keim leave Senior Bowl early

The Senior Bowl is a weeklong event between practices, interviews, and then the game on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama. It is an important week for draft evaluation, so it is common practice for NFL decision-makers to be present.

Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim and head coach Kliff Kingsbury were there in Mobile but left early.

According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, they left on Wednesday morning, which was after only one day of practice.

Weinfuss noted that they were one of only a few GM/coach pairs in attendance.

Weinfuss also explained that their early departure shouldn’t be seen as a negative.

Teams get video of practices, so evaluators don’t have to be at practice to be able to evaluate for the prospects do in practice.

The Cardinals likely already interviewed the players they wanted to speak with and can break down practice film and game film back in Tempe.

So while they left early, they aren’t missing anything else now.
