Kliff Kingsbury’s last-second timeout cost the Cardinals a goal-line stand

Needing a defensive stop on 4th-and-goal in the final seconds of the first half to keep the game close, the Arizona Cardinals’ defense executed perfectly and stonewalled the 49ers at the goal line. The only problem? Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury called a timeout just before the snap, which gave the San Francisco offense a second chance to score a touchdown.

The 49ers then quick-snapped the ball threw a touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders to put the 49ers up by two scores.

To make matters worse for Arizona, the 49ers will receive the ball to start the second half. Fans watching the game roasted Kingsbury for the timeout.
