Kliff Kingsbury: Josh Rosen ‘knows where he stands with us’

Will the Arizona Cardinals move on from quarterback Josh Rosen after only one season? Will they draft Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray first overall?

That is all it seems anyone is talking about, especially since Murray appears to be the top QB prospect for many draft experts, the Cardinals have the number one pick and their coach, Kliff Kingsbury, clearly is a fan of him.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals seem to be enjoying all this attention and really have not done much to dissuade the rumors.

How does this affect Rosen, who is supposed to be their franchise quarterback moving forward?

Kingsbury is not worried.

“I think Josh knows where he stands with us,” he said on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. “They selected him top 10 for a reason. He’s a tremendous talent and he knows it is a business as well, so these things are going to come up. (It’s) all part of the process.”

The Cardinals are counting on Rosen to have thick skin. He either already has assurances with the team he will be around or they probably have made it clear what their intentions are either way.

The Cardinals must do their homework on Murray if they are going to do their job right. They should not play their hand too early for their pick in the draft.

Hopefully, Rosen is as aware of his place with the team as Kingsbury would like us to believe.
