Kliff Kingsbury gives injury update on 3 Cardinals players

The Arizona Cardinals, coming off their mini-bye because of their Thursday night game last week, got an extra day of practice on Monday. They do not release any official injury report until Wednesday, but head coach Kliff Kingsbury did answer some questions about the status of some players.

Murray missed the Cardinals’ last game with a knee injury. Kingsbury said he was day-to-day.

“Still working through it, day-to-day,” he told reporters Monday. “He’s made progress but (I’m) not sure either way if he will be able to play on Sunday.”

RB Chase Edmonds

Edmonds injured a hamstring against the New Orleans Saints and missed last week’s game. He reportedly will miss several weeks. Kingsbury was not optimistic for this week.

“He’s coming, he’s coming,” he told reporters. “Probably not this week, but he’s progressing.”

McDonald left the game with an injury on Thursday against the 49ers. Kingsbury said he has a lingering injury from the game.

“Kind of a shoulder issue and we’ll see where that goes,” he said.
