Kliff Kingsbury calls Quinnen Williams, Nick Bosa ‘can’t-miss prospects’

The Arizona Cardinals have the top pick in the 2019 NFL draft, so they should ideally take the best player in the draft. There is always the fear of having that pick fail, so teams want to find the right balance of talent, durability, coachability, drive and effort.

According to new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, there are a pair of players who could be taken with the top pick who are destined not to fail.

Meeting with the media in Phoenix at the league meeting, Kingsbury was asked about Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa and Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.

“They’re both dominant football players, as dominant and there were in college football,” he said, via the official team site. “They’re can’t-miss prospects. When you watch them on film, the effort they play with, the type of young men they are, they’re going to be great football players.”

Both would be great additions to the Cardinals defense and could be very good even as rookies.

Comments like that make it seem like a no-brainer to take either with the top pick. However, the Cardinals are still doing homework and there is also the allure of quarterback Kyler Murray.

However, dominant can’t-miss prospects are exactly the type of players a team should take at the top of the draft.
