Klay Thompson shares message on Instagram after Warriors’ season ends in loss vs. Grizzlies

On Friday, the Golden State Warriors 2020-21 campaign came to a sudden end with a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference play-in tournament.

Despite 39 points from Steph Curry, the Warriors had trouble protecting the basketball and slowing down a fierce run from Ja Morant. With the Grizzlies advancing to meet the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs, the Warriors are turning the page to the offseason.

At the top of nearly any list regarding the Warriors’ offseason is the return of Klay Thompson. The five-time All-Star has missed the last two seasons with a knee injury and a torn Achilles.

Following the Warriors’ disappointing loss to the Grizzlies, Thompson checked in on Instagram with a message. Along with saying he was proud of the 2020-21 edition of the team, Thompson promised the Warriors aren’t done, saying he believes his best basketball is ahead.
