KLASS Musical Theatre students given 'good luck' message by Hollywood star

Students at Stonehouse's KLASS Musical Theatre were given a 'good luck' message by a Hollywood star ahead of their Christmas Extravaganza.

American actress Kathy Najimy, star of movies like Hocus Pocus, Sister Act and Descendants, recorded a video and sent it to teacher Kirsten Longmuir to play to the kids ahead of their festive shows at the weekend.

Children at Kirsten Longmuir's Advanced Stage School (KLASS) are in preparation for the shows, which are at Stonehouse Lifestyles on Saturday, at 1.30pm and 4pm.

Kirsten was able to play a video of the star wishing them well before embarking on the performances, and she was delighted with their reaction.

She said: "We contacted her, asking her if she could wish our kids good luck, as we are performing some songs from Hocus Pocus and Sister Act.

"We showed it to the kids as a surprise before their upcoming show on Saturday - they were so surprised!

"They know her from Descendants, and it really inspired them to give it their all.

"It meant a lot to me, too, because I grew up with these films and to have one of the stars wish us good luck and mention us by name meant a great deal."
