KKK and swastika daubed on Scots play park by racist vandals as cops probe graffiti

Racist vandals daubed 'KKK' and a large swastika across a children’s play park in Aberdeenshire.

The playground, in Port Elphinstone in the Inverurie area of Aberdeenshire, was found covered in white paint at 7am on Thursday morning by disgusted locals.

A large swastika, “KKK” and “F*** Cops” were among the offensive messages emblazoned across the grounds.

Another said: “That’s absolutely disgusting why on earth would anyone do that to a kiddies play park. They are just evil thugs hope they are caught.”

A third said: “This is disgusting. For them to paint such hateful signs on kids playground equipment is abhorrent. Who ever did this hopefully will be caught and dealt with severely.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We have received reports of vandalism to a playpark in the Elphinstone Road area of Port Elphinstone, which is believed to have taken place between Wednesday, 10 March and Thursday, 11 March.

"Enquiries into the matter are ongoing."
