"53 is no age to die. It is the age to achieve and accomplish, and flourish. It's hard to believe that we are paying tribute to a singer who was performing enthusiastically till late last night. And he's gone. It's hard to believe that we won't be able to ever, ever hear his mellifluous voice," says Shekhar Suman in a shocking state of mind as he bids final goodbye to a singer KK who breathed his last yesterday at Kolkata.
Recalling his first encounter with the late singer, Shekhar Suman says, "I had the opportunity of meeting him for the first time on my talk show 'Movers and Shakers' and he came across as a very nice, friendly, extremely talented, affable person. And when I was making my first film 'Heartless', I made sure that one of the songs was sung by him."
Furthermore, he went on to add how it is a harsh reality that the singer who was performing till last night is no more today. "KK had an illustrious singing career as a very accomplished singer and he is no more at 53, it's so hard to believe. My condolences to the family and everybody close to him. We are all going to miss him dearly. And it's frightening to know that life can be so uncertain that you are here now and gone the next moment. God bless his soul," Shekhar Suman ends the conversation as he pays his last tribute to the departed soul.
