Kitten rescued from car engine bay in Ashton's Sainsbury's car park

A kitten has been rescued from a car engine bay by firefighters.

The fire service was called to an incident at 8.25pm on Thursday, November 12 in the Sainsbury's car park on Winterstoke Road, Ashton.

In a statement, it said: "Crews from Bedminster saved a small kitten from a car engine bay using a small gear tool.

"The kitten was found in good health and was passed to the local dog and cat home.

"We are asking for anybody who recognises the kitten to call 01179724567 or 07803143241."

The fire service tweeted about the rescue, with a social media user saying: "That’s the cutest little kitten ever!"
