Kitchens: Braxton Miller ‘has a future in this game,’ just not with Browns

One of the tougher cuts for the Cleveland Browns when making the decision to get down to 53 players on the roster was to let go of wide receiver Braxton Miller. Even though Miller was only with the team for a couple of weeks, he made a positive impression on both teammates and coaches.

That includes Freddie Kitchens. The Browns head coach was asked in his press conference on Monday about why Miller was let go over the weekend.

“Braxton is not here anymore, so I do not want to spend a lot of time on it, but Braxton has a future in the game,” Kitchens responded. “He is a good player. It is just you have to make tough decisions, and it may not be the best spot for us right now, and that is what we basically decided.”

Miller has yet to latch on with another team after being cut by the Browns on Saturday.
