Huge amounts of rubbish have been discovered in a river in Co Down this week.
Items such as a kitchen sink, shopping trolleys and bikes were found in the Comber River in Newtownards over the weekend.
Members of the Inler Angling Club hauled a huge amount of rubbish from the river, which runs into Strangford Lough, during a clean-up operation that took place over two days.
In a post on Facebook on Sunday, they recounted the massive amount of rubbish they found and added: "Over the last 2 days we have had club members out on the banks and in the river removing a large quantity of rubbish/fly tip.
"The vast majority of this was removed from the 1km section of river running from the new bypass (A21) up to the back of the leisure centre."

They also filled 20 bin bags with:
- Plastic bottles - 550

- Instant noodle pots - 70 (all in the same location)
- Coffee cups (takeout) - 100
- Plastic wrappers (crisps/sweets/chocolate) - 900
- Polystyrene food boxes - 90
- Plastic knives/forks - 60
- Balls (tennis/dog/football) - 12
- Slush drink containers - 25
- Cardboard (mixed) - 40
- Lotto scratch cards - 50
- Drink glasses- 10
- Coffee cups (ceramic) - 2
