
A MAN is due to face court on Sunday after an alleged knife attack at Hawks Nest.
Police arrested a 29-year-old after an alleged incident in the holiday hamlet that left a 37-year-old man suffering injuries to his arm and leg.
The 37-year-old was taken to the John Hunter Hospital after emergency services were called to Mirreen Street about midday on Saturday.
They found the man in his garage, seizing a kitchen knife for forensic examination.
He is expected to undergo surgery.
The 29-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene, was taken to Maitland police station.
He was charged with affray, armed with intent and wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
