Kiss, Iron Maiden and System of a Down to headline Download Festival 2020

Kiss, Iron Maiden and System of a Down have been announced as headliners of next year's Download Festival.

The three bands will top the bill at the UK’s biggest celebration of metal and heavy rock, which takes place from June 12-14 in Leicestershire’s Donington Park.

Deftones, Korn and The Offspring are among the other acts who've been confirmed, performing alongside Disturbed, Of Mice and Men, Alestorm, Gojira, Black Veil Brides and Daughtry. Tickets go on sale at 2pm this Wednesday, and can be bought here.

“I’ve said it before, Download Festival audiences are the best,” said Gene Simmons of Kiss. “They are up for whatever is thrown at them. KISS is going to come fully prepared to rock their world in 2020 to say thank you for always showing up for us."

This year, Def Leppard, Slipknot, Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins and Slayer all took the stage, with around 120,000 people turning out to watch them – with the same crowd expected in 2020 as well.
