Kirstie Allsopp enjoys lunch at Riley's Fish Shack while filming for Channel 4 show

Love It or List It hosts Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer have been spotted across Whitley Bay and Tynemouth, making the most of the stunning North Tyneside coast.

Taking to her personal Instagram account, Kirstie, 51, revealed that she had been shooting some scenes earlier on Monday morning, before grabbing a spot of lunch at one of Tynemouth's most prestigious eateries.

In her post, she captured a clip of the North Sea from Tynemouth sea front, before panning the camera to a busy and bustling Riley's Fish Shack, where she announced her and her team would be enjoying lunch.

In the clip, Kirstie said: "Look at the sea," adding: "There is Riley's Fish Shack, where we are having lunch." The clip was followed by another video of Kirstie and the crew sat on the famous blue loungers outside Riley's, deep in conversation and soaking up the sun.

In the second video, Kirstie said: "Aw look. Look. You lot smile. This is the way to spend lunchtime isn't it? Who's unhappy? Say if you're unhappy," while her crew smiled and waved on.

Kirstie would also upload a video from the car alongside her co-host Phil in another clip uploaded to the main section of her account. Sporting a stunning white blouse, she said: "Phil and I are doing a road trip this afternoon, cause we've been filming in Whitley Bay, and tomorrow we're filming in Scorton in Lancashire."

Phil then entered the car, adding: "Hello Instagram, nice to see you," before Kirstie announced that she was toying with the idea of doing an Insta Live of their road trip - with Phil responding: "Do you think people would be remotely interested in our road trip?"

The post was met by an abundance of comments from loving fans, many of whom with suggestions on what to do while in the region. One, wrote: "Fish and chips a must while in Whitley Bay xx," while another, added: "Of course we are, you should come to Blyth and see a lighthouse in the back lane of a beautiful Georgian Terrace that was sketched by LS Lowry."

A third, went on: "Welcome to the sunny North East."
