Crofts in Kirkpatrick Durham is opening for Scotland’s Gardens Scheme this weekend.
The Crofts’ gardens surround a 19th century country house with mature trees, a walled garden with fruit, vegetables and glasshouses, a hydrangea garden and charming water garden.
There is a delightful woodland walk bisected by a stream colourfully planted with bog plants.
A visit to this attractive garden to support fundraising for charity can be recommended as a worthwhile afternoon outing.
The gardens are open from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 24. Admission is £5 with children free and proceeds will go to Corsock and Kirkpatrick Durham Church of Scotland and Scotland’s Garden Scheme charities.
