Kirkpatrick Durham's Crofts garden set to open to the public for charity

Crofts in Kirkpatrick Durham is opening for Scotland’s Gardens Scheme this weekend.

The Crofts’ gardens surround a 19th century country house with mature trees, a walled garden with fruit, vegetables and glasshouses, a hydrangea garden and charming water garden.

There is a delightful woodland walk bisected by a stream colourfully planted with bog plants.

A visit to this attractive garden to support fundraising for charity can be recommended as a worthwhile afternoon outing.

The gardens are open from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 24. Admission is £5 with children free and proceeds will go to Corsock and Kirkpatrick Durham Church of Scotland and Scotland’s Garden Scheme charities.

To get there, take the A75 to Crocketford then follow the A712 to Corsock and New Galloway for three miles.
