Kirkintilloch street attack leaves man seriously injured and car damaged

Police in Kirkintilloch are appealing for information following a disturbance in the Westergreens Avenue area, which left one man with serious injuries.

The incident took place around 7.10pm on Tuesday, 21 December. Reports were received of a disturbance, involving the serious assault of a 21-year-old man and damage to a vehicle.

The victim attended hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as being two white men. One was wearing all dark clothing and described as medium height, whilst the other was wearing a khaki green jacket and is described as being around 6ft in height.

Detective Constable Mark Soutter said: “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the Westergreens Avenue area on Tuesday evening, and has not already spoken with police, to please come forward.

“Any information could prove useful to our enquiries as we seek to establish the full circumstances of this incident.”
