Kirkdale man arrested for multiple offences including theft and assault

As part of Operation Pelican, Merseyside Police in South Sefton arrested a man on Thursday night (November 25) for a variety of offences in the Kirkdale area.

These offences included the theft of a motor vehicle, possession of cannabis with an intent to supply, assault of an emergency services worker, and driving whilst disqualified.

During the arrest officers recovered a stolen Yamaha motorbike (pictured below).

According to the force, Operation Pelican is an ongoing campaign launched in 2017 to combat the drug trade and gang violence in Bootle, Netherton, Litherland, and the surrounding areas.

People are reminded to dial 999 in an emergency, or otherwise contact police on the 101 non-emergency number.
