Kirkcudbright's final vintage fair of 2019 is huge success

Kirkcudbright’s final vintage fair of 2019 took place recently.

There were lots of goodies and bargains to be snapped up in the town hall from a variety of by-gone eras.

One of the organisers, Colin Saul, said: “It went very well. We had a lot of footfall – the weather was patchy on Saturday, which meant people spent extra time, but on Sunday it was sunny and there were lots of visitors.

“We had about 15 or 16 stallholders with a whole range of things and lots of different price ranges.”

This was the last fair of the year with the next being planned for Easter.

Colin added: “We’ve been doing it for about five years now. We have four a year and they have proved really popular, both with stallholders and with visitors.”

The next event Colin is involved in is a Hallowe’en ghost hunt around the High Street on Thursday, October 31. It starts at 6.30pm in the High Street.
