Kirkcudbright Primary pupils get into the Christmas spirits with a series of festive tasks

On the nine days before the Christmas holidays, Kirkcudbright Primary head teacher Mr Stevens arrived at a different class to deliver the Christmas class task box.

Inside the box was a letter explaining the task and some materials to get the class started.

The tasks included making decorations and candle holders, writing and delivering cards to local care homes, going to the woods to collect materials to help them make Christmas wreaths, making crackers and writing the jokes and performing music.

The pupils enjoyed the tasks and they helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit.

The school was also provided with snowmen by the Kirkcudbright community which the pupils decorated before putting them on display in the parish church gardens.
