Kirkcudbright Health Centre staff aiming to raise £10,000 for Lymphoma Action in memory of tragic colleague

Staff at Kirkcudbright Health Centre are aiming to raise £10,000 for a cause close to their heart.

The team has gone on a fundraising drive for Lymphoma Action after assistant practice manager Anne McIntyre died from the disease in March.

They recently held a successful soup and sweet in the town’s bowling club which raised £1,011. That, along with other events including a race night and a retro disco, means they have raised around £8,500 so far.

They are planning other fundraisers for early in the new year to help them reach their goal.

One of the soup and sweet organisers, Angela McAdam, said: “She was a very popular member of staff and she is sadly missed.”
