Kirkcudbright Country Fair promises a feast of fun for the whole family

A feast of family entertainment is in store this weekend at Kirkcudbright Country Fair.

The star attraction is the Steve Colley Motorbike Stunts team who will be wowing the crowds at The Carse near Tongland Bridge.

The Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities team have lined up a packed programme that includes the amusing sheep show, a dog agility team and a Viking living history display.

There will also be food and craft stalls and an events tent with the programme there including a talk on invasive species and, hopefully, a cookery tent.

Other attractions include steam traction engines and a miniature railway. And once families have paid at the gate, all children’s entertainment – from bouncy castles to magic shows and face painting – is free of charge.

The fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday with gates opening at 10am and closing at 4pm. Parking on site is free and there is also a shuttle bus running from Harbour Square.
