Kirk Norcross goes on a TOWIE Twitter rant: "I had no choice but to leave the show"

Yesterday, Kirk Norcross announced on Twitter that he'd be clearing a few things up about his sudden exit from The Only Way Is Essex earlier in the week.

And we've been carefully watching his Twitter feed ever since. Well, he's just started his rant, and it's all a bit mysterious.

So handsome! Come back to our tellys soon please Kirk (PA)

"The decision to leave #TOWIE was mine and there is reason behind my action which I'm not prepared to have manipulated in the media anymore," he wrote. "I'm not a character, this is my life & its the way certain situations over the last few weeks have been portrayed which left me with no choice."

Kirk quit (er, on Twitter, again) last week on the advice of the one and only Danny Dyer. "Jst 2 let every 1 no I have walked away from #TOWIE and will not be returning, the show had changed 2 mch! I will let u no the details soon" he said.

Kirk's dad Mick had already stormed off the show and banned filming in their club, the Sugar Hut, so it was only a matter of time until his son left - and Danny seems to be the er, brains behind the decision.

"Sources on TOWIE tell 3am that it's no coincidence that Kirk walked off the show the same week that James and Daniel arrived on the show, being all hot and sexy. "They were filming in the gym, which was Kirk's 'territory' on the show," says the insider.

This, all the time please (kirk_official/twitter)

The official statement from the show's spokesperson says: "Kirk has failed to communicate with the production team since he filmed for St Patrick's Day and there are no further plans to film with him this series."

As Kirk has a book out soon, we're sure we haven't heard the last of this ... we just hope that when he explains it, he strips off at the same time.
