Kirk Herbstreit shakes up his top four college football teams after week nine

After watching the week nine games play out, Kirk Herbstreit made some big changes to his top four teams in college football. A week ago, Clemson held the top spot, followed by Alabama, Ohio State, then Georgia.

This week, however, that wasn’t the case as Herbie dropped Clemson all the way to number three after a struggle with Boston College on Saturday. Alabama moved up to his No. 1 spot with Ohio State at No. 2 after convincing wins this weekend.

Rounding out his top four was Georgia, which I still don’t quite understand. Defensively, Georgia is stout, but has not been impressive on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe it’s a toss-up similar to how Joel Klatt sees things… Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama are on a different level. After that, it’s anyone’s guess.

Notre Dame and Oklahoma State were Herbstreit’s next two in. Notre Dame can make a huge statement when they host Clemson this coming week who will again be without all-world quarterback, Trevor Lawrence.

Can Ohio State keep climbing? In order to do so, the Buckeyes will need to keep winning big and not leave any doubt.
