Kirk Cousins wishes the 2019 season started tomorrow

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tossed 30 touchdowns and threw for more than 4,000 yards in his first season with the team, but Minnesota finished at 8-7-1 and missed the playoffs.

Most saw the season as a disappointment from both the Vikings and Cousins.

Cousins is ready for the 2019 season to start so he can redeem himself.

“I wish the 2019 season started tomorrow,” Cousins said via NFL.com. “I’m ready to go and make amends for 2018. It’s been frustrating to know I have to sit here for whatever it is, seven or eight months before we get back at it.”

The Vikings offense should be better in 2019 due to a combination of Cousins’ familiarity with the offensive weapons, a healthy Dalvin Cook and a hopefully improved offensive line.

Throughout his career, Cousins has been considered a good stats, bad team kind of guy. He is hoping to change that narrative in season No. 2 with the Vikings.
