Kirk Cousins to address Michigan State basketball team before Final Four game

Kirk Cousins will address the Michigan State basketball team on Friday, a day before the Spartans take on Texas Tech.

Tom Izzo said Kirk Cousins will address the Michigan State basketball team tomorrow on the eve of their Final Four game. Izzo and Cousins know each other well and once played at Augusta National together.

It makes sense, with Cousins attending Michigan State from 2008-11 and the Final Four being in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Vikings play their home games.

Cousins has been known to give a solid pep talk.

The Spartans were in the Final Four twice when Cousins was at MSU, in 2009 and 2010. In 2009, they advanced to the championship. They would lose to North Carolina in the championship game that year.
