Kirk Cousins struggles mightily vs. Cardinals

The third preseason game is the one that is supposed to resemble a regular-season game the most.

Vikings fans hope that’s not the case after what they saw from Kirk Cousins and the Vikings first-team offense on Saturday against the Cardinals.

Cousins was just 3-for-13, passing for 35 yards.

Had it not been an 85-yard touchdown run from Dalvin Cook, the day from the first-team offense would have been a complete failure.

Does this mean Cousins will struggle when we get to Week 1 against the Falcons? No, of course not, but you’d rather have your starting quarterback have success in preseason than not.

It is worth noting that the Vikings were without Adam Thielen, who was sitting out due to soreness.

Cousins is entering his second season with the Vikings, and the first full season with Kevin Stefanski as offensive coordinator and Gary Kubiak as an offensive advisor.
