Leading up to their Wild Card game against the New Orleans Saints, the Minnesota Vikings were given little to no chance of winning on the road. A good majority of the experts had the Vikings losing, and some were saying it was going to be by at least 17 points.
The game went into overtime, and Kirk Cousins showed just how good he can be.
Cousins didn’t put up mind-blowing numbers, but when it mattered the most he delivered. Finishing the game with 242 yards and the game-winning touchdown, Cousins proved that he is capable of winning in the big moments.
After the game, the Vikings quarterback had a few familiar words when speaking to his fellow teammates.
Although the majority of the experts picked the Vikings to get embarrassed by the Saints, Cousins drove his team down the field for an overtime victory.
The Vikings are now set to travel to San Francisco, where they will take on the No. 1 seeded 49ers.
