Kirins seek first victory of season against Ratchaburi

Muang Thong's Willian Popp, left, vies with Jesse Curran during training.

Former champions SCG Muang Thong United, winless in their first two Thai League 1 matches, are hoping for a change in fortune when they host Ratchaburi on Friday.

The Kirins are well rested as their last weekend's game was postponed because reigning Thai league winners BG Pathum United had to undergo a two-week quarantine after playing an AFC Champions League match on Sept 15.

Muang Thong coach Mario Gjurovski has all key players, including Adisak Kraisorn, Sardor Mirzaev, Willian Popp and Theerapol Yoeiyoi, available for selection for today's game.

Ratchaburi, who have accumulated four points from their three outings so far, will be without Luke Woodland who is suspended, but Sanrawat Detchmitr, Steeven Langil and Derley are likely to be in their starting line-up.

Tomorrow, in-form former champions Buriram United will be visiting Bangkok United for a game that promises a lot of fireworks.
