Kirby Smart hopeful Demetris Robertson will have a breakout 2019

Outside of a huge 72-yard touchdown in UGA’s season opening win over Austin Peay last season, Cal transfer Demetris Robertson had a relatively quiet first season in Athens.

However, with a year of experience under Robertson’s belt, head coach Kirby Smart believes that the wide receiver is poised for a breakout year in the upcoming 2019 season.

“I think he’s more comfortable with the offense,” said Smart. “He plays outside, he understands our offense better and he’s also getting more opportunities.”

If Robertson does indeed show a new level of comfort in the Georgia offense, he certainly has the natural talent necessary to make a big impact for the Dawgs this fall.

And Georgia running back D’Andre Swift is excited, too.

“D-Rob had the best spring out of anyone,” Bulldogs tailback D’Andre Swift said last week. “He’s come along really well.”
