There are plenty of famous ghost stories in Bristol from the lady dressed in black seen by cast and audience members of Bristol Old Vic to the screams of the hanged men who met their end on the Christmas Steps.
But not all ghost stories happen at the city's landmarks and places of interest. Readers have told us of tales of the supernatural which they have encountered in their every day lives, including one man who thinks he spotted a ghost in a pub.
So we asked our readers on Facebook if they had any ghost stories to tell, and they did not disappoint.
Dawn Thompson said: "Years ago three of us saw a woman running down the middle of a country lane in a white night dress and she just suddenly disappeared without running left or right. This was in Abbots Leigh.
"Driving past where she disappeared none of us could come up with a logical explanation. A ghost maybe?"
Avril McCallum said: "I don't believe things like that, but I know what I saw on a ward I was working on."
Alan Irwin said: "I saw a couple of soldiers looking things at Kingsweston House."
John Costigan said: "There is no explanation to what I saw walking across an empty fuel terminal in Avonmouth a few years ago. A black figure walking across the terminal and walking into the loading racks. Only the security guard and I on site and he was next to me. Very weird."
Danny Ings said: "1979, Creechbarrow Hill, Taunton. Me and a friend saw a silhouette of a WWI soldier walking the perimeter of the Admiralty grounds with a tin hat and rifle. That stuck with me for years but it wasn't till years later I considered this to be a ghost."
And Tiffany Webster said she saw what she believed to be a ghost in Redcliffe Caves in 2016.
