SACRAMENTO, Calif. _ Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic will have a second surgery this offseason, a day before training camp begins.
Bogdanovic was playing for Serbia in FIBA World Cup qualifiers Monday and left the 91-65 win over Estonia early after feeling discomfort. A minor injury was revealed after further evaluation, the Kings said.
Bogdanovic will undergo a minor procedure on his left knee Monday in New York, the team said.
The Kings did not say how long he is expected to be out, and said they will have an update Monday, which is also the team's media day. Training camp begins Tuesday.
Bogdanovic also had a slight tear of the medial meniscus in the same knee repaired in April and was given a recovery timeline of eight to 10 weeks.
The 26-year-old is coming off a rookie season in which he averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals over 78 games, including 53 starts.
