Son Heung-min has continued his fine start to the new season by scoring a last-minute winner for South Korea against Syria.
With the scores tied 1-1 heading into the final minute of the clash, Son pounced on a loose ball in the box, and slotted an effort under the Syrian keeper to give the Koreans another three points in their World Cup qualifying group.
The win takes them to the top of Group A as they prepare for a clash with second-placed Iran in the coming days.
It’s not the first time that Son has produced a moment of magic this season either.
The forward has been in sublime form for Tottenham, with some fans arguing that he has helped carry the team over the course of the last couple of weeks.
With three goals in the Premier League already, including winners against Manchester City and Watford, the 29-year-old has undoubtedly been the north London outfit’s biggest threat in attack.
Although he didn’t manage to find the net himself in his latest performance in a Spurs shirt, Son did register an assist for both of Tottenham’s goals against Aston Villa as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side went onto win the game 2-1.
His desire earned Tottenham an important three points as the club ended a run of three straight defeats in the Premier League.
And after he found the net for his country today, Spurs fans took to Twitter to express their admiration for one of their most valuable assets.
Take a look at some of what’s been said below.
With difficult away trips to Newcastle and West Ham to come in the next few weeks when the Premier League resumes, Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping Son can continue his form after the international break.
