
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued on Tuesday a royal decree ordering the transfer of powers of investigations and prosecution in customs cases to the Public Prosecution, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The General Authority of Customs was formerly the agency in charge of these cases.
The Attorney General announced that the Public Prosecution is prepared to exercise its jurisdiction to investigate crimes related to the customs system, in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure and its Executive Regulations.
