
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held telephone talks on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Talks focused on the meetings of the G20, whose presidency is chaired by Saudi Arabia for 2020. They also tackled group’s efforts in combating the novel coronavirus pandemic.
King Salman expressed the Kingdom’s keenness on bolstering relations with Russia, voicing his satisfaction with the increase in the trade balance between the two sides.
He also underlined Russia’s constructive role in the OPEC+ in achieving balance in the oil market.
For his part, Putin hailed the Kingdom’s role as the G20 president, underscoring his satisfaction with the development of relations with Riyadh and productive cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the energy field.
Furthermore, he said that contacts are underway over the Russian coronavirus vaccine.
