King Salman Orders that Saudi Intellectual Property Authority Be Overseen by PM

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz. (SPA)

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued on Friday a Royal Decree ordering that the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property come under the authority of the prime minister.

The board of the Authority will be chaired by Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Mohammed bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Sheikh.

The decree was issued 30 months after the founding of the Authority. It was previously organizationally linked to the minister of commerce.
