Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent on Monday a written invitation to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah to attend the upcoming Gulf Cooperation Council summit.
The 40th GCC summit will be hosted by Riyadh next week.
GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani delivered the message to the Emir during talks with Sheikh Sabah in Kuwait.
The officials discussed the latest preparations for the summit.
The GCC ministerial council will hold a preparatory meeting for the summit on December 9 in Riyadh.
