The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, said Thursday that Saudi Arabia has taken all precautionary measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak, but spoke of a “more difficult” phase on a global level.

The Kingdom “continues to take all precautionary measures to confront this pandemic and limit its effects,” said King Salman in a speech.

“We are living through a difficult phase,” he said, adding he was certain that this phase will end.

But he stressed that “the coming phase will be more difficult on a global level to confront the rapid spread of this pandemic.”

King Salman said the people have shown strength in dealing with the coronavirus outbreak, and reassured them that the Kingdom is “keen on providing the necessary medication, food, and living necessities for citizens and residents.”

He added that all government sectors, led by the Ministry of Health, are doing all they can and taking all necessary measures to ensure their health.

King Salman lauded government entities and health sector professionals for their dedication in fighting the coronavirus and saving lives.

He called for more “solidarity and collaboration,” and for strictly adhering to the instructions and guidelines of the authorities to fight the pandemic.
