King's Park incident: police respond to disturbance in Glasgow's south side

Police havee swooped on King's Park in response to a disturbance in the area.

Photos shared on social media show both police and the ambulance staff at the park in the south side of Glasgow. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses report part of the park being cordoned off with several police vehicles at the scene.

Police confirmed they were called to the incident shortly after the 3.30pm afternoon, but they were unable to provide any further detail at this time.

An investigation has been launched and enquiries are at an early stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a disturbance at Kings Park in Glasgow shortly after 3.35pm on Friday, 12 February.

"Enquiries are ongoing and at an early stage."
