NAKHON RATCHASIMA: His Majesty the King delivered a royal flame to the funeral of a 63-year-old woman who died of a stroke after devoting herself to decorating flowers at the royal crematorium replica in Pak Chong district.

HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun had Nakhon Ratchasima governor Wichian Chantaranothai lay the royal wreaths of HM the King and HRH Prince Dhipankara Rasmijoti in front of the coffin of Jintana Pranee at Wat Khiriwan in Pak Chong on Tuesday.

The governor also delivered monks' robes and the royal flame from HM the King for the funeral of the woman. Besides, the governor handed financial aid from the provincial branch of the Thai Red Cross Society to her family.

According to Pak Chong Time, Saijai Pranee, the 42-year-old daughter of Jintana, said her family was very grateful for the generosity extended by HM the King to an ordinary family. She said that if her mother was aware of that, she would be extremely grateful because she loved both King Rama IX and King Rama X.

Pak Chong district chief Surapan Silpasuwan said HM the King was aware of volunteers' work and lent a helping hand when they were in trouble.

It was reported that Jintana had been among volunteers for the royal cremation of King Rama IX.

She had been making marigold flower curtains to decorate the royal crematorium replica of Pak Chong. The work was finished late on Oct 25, the eve of the royal cremation day of King Rama IX, and on the following day she was found dead at home. Local doctors attributed the death to a stroke.
