His Majesty the King has approved the design of the royal emblem, which will be used as the official logo for his coronation in May, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said Tuesday.
Gen Prayut said the government committee responsible for organising the ceremonies had submitted nine designs to the palace.
His Majesty made some adjustments and came up with the final design, Gen Prayut said.
The emblem will be printed on materials, including flags, to be put up at government offices, he said, adding that those who wish to produce any items bearing the royal emblem must obtain prior permission from the government.
The PM's Office is also to issue commemorative badges bearing the royal emblem to be sold at 300 baht apiece.
