King Charles 'would welcome back' Harry and Meghan as 'door is always open'

King Charles would "welcome a reconciliation" with his son Prince Harry and wife Meghan, according to a royal source.

This comes less than a week after the King's Coronation which Prince Harry attended alone while Meghan stayed behind to look after their two children and celebrate Archie's birthday.

The Duke didn't stay in the UK for long and jetted back off to the States hours after the ceremony. Though it is reported he visited Buckingham Palace, his first time seeing the royal home since his grandma, Queen Elizabeth died.

As the Mirror writes, a friend of King Charles told The Daily Beast that he will always want to reconcile with his son and Meghan.

The friend said: “The opportunity that was there for Harry to sort this out with the King is gone for now.

"Of course, Charles would always welcome a reconciliation with Harry and Meghan, he has made that very clear, and his door is always open in that regard."

This comes after tensions were fueled after an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey and the release of Harry's debut memoir Spare.

Harry and Meghan also broke royal tradition by releasing their Netflix docu-series which follows them around the time they leave the royal family in 2020.

While Duke and Duchess may have broken royal protocol, the King's Coronation signalled that the institution will always welcome them back into the fold.
