King Charles III released a heartfelt video marking the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth.
In the message, he paid tribute to his 'darling Mama' on what would have been her 100th birthday on Tuesday, 21 April.
The monarch expressed his belief that his late mother would have been 'troubled' by many aspects of contemporary life.
He stated, 'Much about the times we now live in I suspect may have troubled her deeply,' without specifying particular issues.
The video served as a personal remembrance and reflection on Queen Elizabeth II's legacy.
