King Charles invites Harry and Meghan to Coronation as couple yet to decide if they'll go

King Charles has invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the Coronation.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are yet to decide whether they will attend, according to reports.

It comes after their UK residence was taken off them by the monarch as he looks to work on a reduced budget.

Frogmore Cottage - on the grounds of Windsor Castle - was gifted to the couple by the late Queen after their wedding in May 2018.

Less than two years later they announced they would be stepping down as working royals and vacating the country.

Meanwhile, Harry told trauma guru Gabor Maté in a web chat last week the royals don’t “speak the same language” in another blow to his family.

The spokesperson told the Times' royal editor Roya Nikkhah: “I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty's office regarding the coronation.

"An immediate decision on whether The Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time."

It comes after the King reportedly offered his youngest son and daughter-in-law a Buckingham Palace suite to stay in when visiting the UK.

The couple now reside in a nine-bedroom property in Montecito, California, worth £12 million.

For future visits to England, King Charles will reportedly allow them to stay in a palace apartment, most likely to be Prince Andrew's old suite.

It's understood that Andrew has meanwhile been offered Frogmore as he's set to move out of Windsor's Royal Lodge.

Harry and Meghan have been given until autumn to remove their belongings, reports the Mail on Sunday.

St James’s Palace is also being considered as accommodation for Harry and Meghan, alongside Princess Diana's former home – Apartment 1 at Kensington Palace.

Sources have revealed that the King and the Queen Consort were left 'furious' and 'wearied' by the claims Harry made in his bombshell book Spare, released in January.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment when contacted by the Mirror.
