King Charles has the same drink every night 'before dinner' according to one of his friends.
The 74-year-old travelled to Transylvania, in Romania several years ago. During his time in the country, he met Count Tibor Kalnoky, who found the perfect house for the royal.
Appearing on a Channel 4 show, Count Tibor shared why the royal fell in love with Transylvania, and the drink he would enjoy "every night" in the southeastern European country. He said: "Charles discovered this very unique corner of Europe and has been coming to this place every year."

He continued: "I showed him the place and he said it was everything he had been looking for. We spent some time renovating the whole thing."
The King bought a small country house in the idyllic Eastern European spot where he spent his time relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery. Count Tibor revealed King Charles always had the same drink when he stayed in his house in Viscri, Transylvania, "every night before dinner".
He said: "He likes a martini before dinner, that's for sure." In fact, it is believed King Charles always makes sure his menu preferences are known beforehand every time he travels.
This includes bringing his own glass to drink a pre-mixed martini before dinner, whenever he is. Queen Elizabeth II, on the other hand, was not a fan of martini and preferred a gin and Dubonnet instead.
Dubonnet is a very sweet, wine-based aperitif made of herbs and spices. Speaking prior to the Queen's death, former royal chef Darren McGrady explained: "All I said was she likes a gin and Dubonnet. That's her favourite drink.
"She doesn't wake up in the morning and have a large gin and tonic."
He explained the monarch had a glass of her favourite German sweet wine "just in the evening". He said: "She certainly doesn't drink four glasses a day."
