Kind young people from a Perth school have been learning you need to give as well as take.
Pupils in P2/3 and P5 at Craigie Primary School have worked together to organise and decorate a Kindness In Craigie ‘Give and Take’ box.
The colourful container makes a vibrant focal point for exchange of food and essentials right outside the school gates.
The box will be filled with non perishable items, donated by the community for people in the community who may be struggling in the current financial crisis.
The wood and other materials for the construction was provided by MKM Perth and the practical skill to construct the children’s vision came from Perth Men’s Shed.
The box is located outside the school on the main road and members of the public passing are encouraged to “take what you need and give what you can.”
