A kind stranger saved a driver from a parking ticket with her selfless gesture after she spotted a parking attendant nearby.
Sarah, who asked to only be referred to by her first name, was returning to her own car near High Street, in Prescot, when she noticed that a warden was preparing a ticket for another vehicle.
The car was parked behind Mr Ray's Bakery - and rather than turning a blind eye to the car about to receive a ticket, the Whiston beautician stepped in and paid for a ticket for the stranger's car.
Placing the ticket on the windscreen, alongside a note to explain it, Sarah, who runs Beauty Base, in Whiston, said: "The traffic warden was giving you a ticket.
"So I bought you a ticket to save you £30, Sarah.."
She has since been praised in a local Facebook group where she shared the images in the hope the driver would see and understand why she did it.
Her post said: "If this is your car in the car park behind Ray's Bakery, the traffic warden was giving you a ticket so I bought you a ticket but you only have two hours.
"So be back for 12 as I'm sure he will be waiting.
"It's confusing as it says parking charges suspended but that's only for the first car park apparently."
Many people commented underneath the post to thank Sarah for her gesture.
