Kind schoolgirl buys treats for frontline heroes using her confirmation money

Gardai in a north Dublin station were given a lovely surprise today when a local girl presented them with a range of treats bought with her confirmation.

Thoughtful 12-year-old Ciara delivered sweets, crisps and chocolate to the hard-working staff of Finglas garda station.

The kind schoolgirl also included a note explaining that the presents were her way of saying thanks to the fontline heroes who are keeping the country safe during the coronavirus outbreak.

She wrote: "Hello, my name is Ciara and I recently made my confirmation.

"I had an idea to use some of my money to give back to the frontline services around my area so I bought some goodies and drinks to help. Stay safe always."

Delighted gardai took to social media to share some pictures of the generous gift and thank Ciara.

They said: "Gardai in Finglas received a package today from a young girl living in the district.

"She bought the Gardai working on the frontline some treats using her confirmation money. Thank you Ciara."

Ciara also sent treats to her local fire station to say thanks to the firefighters and paramedics working there for their incredible efforts during the COVID-19 crisis.
