Kind-hearted Wishaw woman is this week's Say It With Flowers recipient

Wishaw mum-of-one Deborah Moody was nominated for this week's Say It With Flowers by her best friend Edith Bradley, who says she's "always been there for her" throughout their longstanding friendship.

Deborah works in the staff canteen of Morrisons in Wishaw, where she has worked for over 10 years.

Edith told Lanarkshire Live: “We have been friends since P1 at Thornlie Primary and we remain best friends to this day.

“Over the last few years Deborah has had it quite tough. When Covid started she became really not well. She ended up in hospital where it was found that she had bowel cancer.

“She was operated on two weeks ago at the Golden Jubilee Hospital and fortunately Deborah is now in recovery.

Edith went on: “Deborah is quite an outgoing person. She likes to have time with friends and is devoted to her family.

“She has always been there for me whenever I needed her and I wanted to say thanks to her for everything she has done for me over the years.”

And when Edith told us about Deborah, we were delighted to help, surprising her with this stunning floral arrangement, courtesy of our friends at Pixies Petals in Newmains.

A grateful Deborah told us: “I was surprised to receive these flowers. It’s such a nice thing for Edith to do.

"I would also like to thank the Wishaw Press for nominating me and to Pixies Petals for the lovely flowers.”
